truth and fullmetal alchemist
I have decided that in living the rest of my life I am going to keep this scripture at the forefront my of conscious:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
I recently came across a video talking about the anime Full Metal Alchemist, and it went into the relation of Plato and his system of beliefs that I remember also relating to the continuity of God and his promises unto humanity. I have really started to invest a lot of focus and attention to the entire linguistic responsibility of honesty and its essential role in day to day life. In trying my best to always focus upon the potential prospect of being a father to a daughter or son one day, I decided that it was imperative for me to invest all of my energy into becoming the best man that I could possibly be. As a father, a man then has the responsibility of doing everything possible to then provide the best type of conditions that they can for their children.
In Plato's system of beliefs, there are two different modes of categorizing aspects of reality into. Those being: the world of appearances and the world of forms. The world of appearances has within its domain the world of men, irrational things, and the world of approximation and theoretical matters. On the other hand you have the world of forms, which contains within its domain the world of the Gods, rational things, all complete and transcendental things and matters.
A big thing from that scripture is that the temple of our bodies that we inhabit is indeed a gift that was bought at a price. This is very much the truth considering the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The inherent necessity of repayment is quite literally infused within our very skins as we live day by day in this world. The constant and troublesome truth that none of us can indeed ever be up to the same standard of Christ Jesus is indeed a constant reminder that we must always remember Jesus and be grateful and be sure to praise him the best that we can in this life. Always remember that Jesus does indeed hope that you can live your life as a gift from him! All he really asks of us is to just do our best to respect and honor his father in heaven.
I also wanted to provide an input that I queried chatGPT with to also supply a very accurate returned body of text defining the responsibilities and terms of honoring God:
“Honoring God involves recognizing and expressing reverence, respect, and devotion to Him. This concept spans various actions, attitudes, and practices across different religions and cultures. At its core, honoring God means acknowledging His sovereignty, goodness and authority in one's life. Here are some key ways people honor God:
First, worship and prayer are central. This includes individual and communal acts of adoration, praise and communication with God. For Christians, this might involve attending church services, singing hymns and personal prayers. In Islam, honoring God is shown through five daily prayers and other acts of worship. In Judaism, honoring God includes observing the Sabbath and other religious holidays and praying regularly.
Second, obedience to God's commandments is crucial. This means living according to the moral and ethical guidelines set forth in relgious texts, such as the Bible, the Quran, or the Torah. For example, the ten commandments in Christianity and Judaism, and the Five Pillars of Islam provide frameworks for living a life that honors God. Third, living a life of integrity and moral virtue is a way to honor God. This includes honesty, kindness, humility, and charity. Many religions emphasize helping those in need, practicing forgiveness and striving for personal holiness and righteousness.
Fourth, expressing gratitude is important. Regularly thanking God for blessings and acknowledging His role in one's life is a way to show honor and appreciation. This can be done through prayer, songs of praise, or simply reflecting upon one's blessings.
Fifth, sharing faith with others is often seen as honoring God.”
I want to post this video in relation to this anime as well because it just seemed to communicate and have a very meaningful message in it as well! We all fall short of perfection! Do your best to honor Christ and keep investing hope, love and faith in Jesus! Live in thanks to Christ Jesus for what he did to give us all the opportunity he did!
